The following information applies to all PPA Members and, in particular, all volunteers taking part in the PPA projects and groups.
- The PPA Constitution, adopted in February 2007 and amended in January 2010, provides the governance foundations for the Association. All PPA Members are bound by the PPA Constitution.
- By adopting the Equality and Diversity Statement (Polish and English versions available) the PPA recognises the importance of promoting equal opportunities and diversity among its Members and Clients. Every Member is expected to comply with the Statement as it it links to the PPA statutory objectives.
- Child Protection Policy (Polish and English versions available) applies to all the projects run by the PPA (hence, it applies to all volunteers supporting these projects) when the PPA comes into contact with a Client under 18 and has access to his/her personal data. The policy aims to protect life and welfare of children, and ensure that appropriate actions are taken in case of discovering a situation in which there is a significant risk to child’s health and safety.
- Principles of individual counseling (Polish version) apply to all the PPA projects (hence, they apply to all the volunteers supporting these projects) which provide direct counseling to individual Clients (contract for an adult and for an adult with child, Polish versions).
- Volunteer agreements (for Project Coordinators and Project Officers) define the principles of voluntary work for the PPA. Project Officer’s agreement is entered by a volunteer and a coordinator of a particular project / the PPA Board. A Project Officer can sign a volunteer agreement to take part in several projects/groups. Project Coordinators agreements are signed by the PPA Board.
PPA is covered by Towergate Professionals Professional Liability Insulrance (copy of the insurance policy is available on request from Project Coordinators or the Board) which support the volunteers in providing safe and professional psychological help on behalf of the PPA. The policy does not apply when volunteers breach internal policies set by the PPA. In that case, legal responsibility rests upon a wrongdoer.
Please note: The PPA reserves the right to terminate the membership in case of a member guilty of breach of the policies included in the Constitution or the Equality & Diversity Statement. The PPA reserves the right to terminate volunteer agreement in respect of any volunteer in breach of the policies regarding individual counseling or child protection.
